5/1-14/2/1988 Rebuild on Sambawang Shipyard, Singapore. Totaly rebuild public areas , new cabins, new funnel, new bow.  
2/1988 Named Ocean Pearl by HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana of Thailand. Operated Ocean Cruise Lines  
   
2/1994 - 14/9/1995 Named Pearl, operated Croisières Paquet, France flag. Continue cruises on Asia.  
9-11/1995 Refurbished on T.Mariotti shipyard, Italy. Bahamas flag.  
12/11/1995 Costa Playa (former Pearl) left Genoa for its inaugural crossing to Puerto Plata and was later used for cruises to  
Santiago de Cuba, Montego Bay, Havana and Baia Nipe. The ship remained in yearly service on Cuban itineraries.  
   
1/1988 Sold to Mega Wave International, Hong Kong. Named Oriental Pearl.
